THE PERSON BEHIND OAKMERE

Hi, I’m Mark Hrad.

I build thoughtful websites around the people and businesses they represent.

Choosing someone to build your website is personal. You’re trusting them with how people see your business. Here’s a little about my background and what you can expect when we work together.

How I got here

HOW I GOT HERE

It started
close to home.

My interest in technology began with helping my family solve the problems they ran into.

Alongside that, I used to mod games such as Payday 2 and Grand Theft Auto, and I tried making games for niche consoles. Those projects were a way to learn about software through something I enjoyed.

As those skills developed, I began building websites too. Today, that’s Oakmere’s focus: helping businesses explain what they do, connect with their customers, and feel at home online.

I care about how people feel about the work as well as whether it solves the problem. Taking the time to understand someone’s needs and communicate clearly is central to how I work with clients.

HOW I WORK

Technology works best
when you’re understood.

That’s the idea behind Oakmere. Before I build a website, I need to understand the people it’s for. What matters to your business, what do your customers need, and where would you like to go?

WHEN WE WORK TOGETHER

Someone you can
talk to.

You don’t need the technical words, and you don’t need every detail of your website figured out before we speak.

Explore website design

First, tell me about your business.

I take the time to listen and ask questions. Understanding your goals and your customers helps me shape a website that works for both.

There’s room for questions.

I explain things in plain language, at a pace that works for you. If something needs another explanation, please say so.

We’ll agree on the work first.

We agree on the work and any charges before we begin. I ask before additional work or changes, so you stay involved in what’s happening.

LET’S START WITH A CONVERSATION

Tell me what’s
on your mind.

A first website, a fresh direction, or a site that needs more care.
I’d like to hear about it.
